Theone Hausmann Klein
KLEIN Theone Hausmann Klein, age 95, of Columbus died, Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Morningside Assisted Living according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel. Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, December 29, 2008 at Hebrew Rest Cemetery in New Orleans, LA. with Rabbi Edward Cohn, officiating. Mrs. Klein was born in New Orleans, LA. on January 11, 1913 the daughter of Gabe Hausmann and Hannah Bloch Hausmann. She graduated from Isidore Newman School and Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University. She was a member of Temple Sinai Congregation in New Orleans, LA. and Temple Israel in Columbus, GA. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Albert Klein and her granddaughter, Lois Lupin Salzman. She is surived by two daughters, Jane Marcus (Dr. Robert Marcus) of Columbus, GA, and Linda Lupin (Dr. Samuel Lupin) of Monsey, NY; one sister, Gail Victor (Harold) of Dallas, TX; one brother; Gabe Hausmann (Roan) of Baton Rouge, LA; six grandchildren, Kimberly Marcus Cooper (Rick) of Atlanta, GA, Timothy Marcus of Atlanta, GA, Suzanne Stokar (Avi) of Teaneck, NJ, Tamarah Corn (Yitz) of Beit Shemesh, Israell, Melanie Dahan (Sruly) of Monsey, NY, and Michael Lupin (Esty) of Monsey, NY; 24 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.

Michael "Mickey" S. Newman
60, of San Diego, formerly of Detroit, died December 8, 2002. he was a life member of Perfection Lodge F & AM and very active with the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Mr. Newman is survived by his wife, Cynthia Newman; daughter, Stephanie Newman; son, Richard Newman; granddaughter, Clare Hogston; sister, Marlene Meyers; father-in-law Abe Corman, and mother-in-law, Leah Corman. Internment in San Diego. Contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Mickey Newman Memorial Fund, c/o the Jewish Community Foundation, 4950 Murphy Canyon Rd., San Diego, CA 92123.

Ellin, Morton “Morty”
Morton “Morty” Ellin, age 78, of Atlanta died on June 17, 2008. Mr. Ellin was born and raised in New York City. He was a retired partner of Deloitte and Touche, beginning his career in New York with J.K. Lasser, then moving to Atlanta in 1973. Morty served in the U.S. Army as an accountant during the Korean War. He was Treasurer of Village Oaks Home Owners Association and was an ardent baseball fan. He was a dedicated husband, father, brother, grandfather, and loyal friend. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Aida Ellin. He is survived by his sons and daughters in-law, David and Mindy Ellin, and Dr. Richard and Janice Ellin, all of Atlanta; sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Herman Klarman, Sunrise, FL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dr. Maurice and Amy Hershenson, Wellesley, MA; and grandchildren, Caryn, Jonathan, Marissa.
